Configuration carte son SiS AC'97 sous Etch

Bonjour,

je dispose d’un portable Acer Aspire sur lequel j’ai installé Debian Etch.

Tout marche assez bien sauf peut-être pour ma carte son.

j’aimerais utiliser le microphone de ma carte son pour pouvoir téléphoner sur mon PC, comme je le faisais sous Windows XP.

J’y arrive pas : aucune des applications que je connais pour enregistrer les sons ne fonctionne.
(j’ai essayé l’enregistreur de sons de Gnome, et le programme arecord du driver Alsa)

En outre, c’est étrange mais lorsque j’utilise alsamixer, les seuls niveaux qui modifient le volume de sortie des haut-parleurs sont “Headphones”, et “PCM”. Ni “Master”, ni “Master M”, ne semblent changer quoi que ce soit. “Headphones” n’est-il pas sensé ne modifier que le volume de sortie du casque ?

D’après kmuto.jp/debian/hcl/, il semble que ma carte devrait être utilisée avec un driver nommé i810_audio. J’ai essayé d’ajouter le module mais ça ne change rien.

Et là je sèche. Quelqu’un peut m’aider ?

alsa a-t-il été installé ? Le module nécessaire est très classique …
En console :

su mot-de-passe-root aptitude install alsa-base alsa-utils alsaconf devrait résoudre le problème si alsa n’a pas été installé … :wink:

Devrais-je essayer d’installer alsa-oss ?

quand je lance alsa-conf, il me trouve deux cartes sons :
intel8x0 Silicon Integrated System [SiS] AC’97 Sound Controller (rev. 0)
legacy Probe Legacy ISA (non-PnP) chips

pour l’instant je ne lance la config que pour la carte SiS, car j’ai un avertissement de stabilité quand j’essaie la config pour la Legacy ISA.

le hcl te dis biezn que ta carte est une i810, mais il dit que tu peux utiliser snd-intel8x0 OU BIEN i810_audio .
Ton lsmod donnant bien la presence de snd_intel8x0, ça veut dire que du coté install d’alsa, tout semble bon coté config.
Donc deux possibilités:

  • tu as un bug dans le pilote et les noms des sorties ne correspondent pas à la réalité (le micro ne s’appelle pas micro dans le mixeur, etc)
  • la version d’alsa integrée dans le noyau ne fonctionne pas avec ta carte.

Dans le premier cas (probable), tu peux continuer à tester et tripoter le mixeur. Dans le deuxiême, tu devra compiler soit un nouveau noyau (version differente), soit un noyau avec l’alsa desactiver, puis tu compiles séparément alsa.

Pas moyen de trouver les bons réglages pour alsamixer (j’ai beau sélectionner Mic1/Mic2, activer ou non le boost, et mettre le niveau de Mic à fond : rien à faire !)

Par contre :bulb: , je me suis souvenu que le micro fonctionnait avec un LiveCD d’Ubuntu que j’avais essayé avant d’installer la Debian (Ubuntu 6.10)

Je l’ai donc relancé Ubuntu LiveCD, et j’ai soigneusement sauvé des infos sur la config :

Je suppose qu’il me reste à éplucher tout ça et à chercher la différence de config avec la Debian
(en espérant que ce n’est pas juste la version de noyau qui pose problème).

Notez que ma version Alsa sur la Debian est supérieure à la version d’Alsa sur l’Ubuntu.
Y’a donc pas de raison que ce soit là le pb, non ?

Ok j’ai trouvé : en plus du module snd_intel8x0, il faut installer le module snd_intel8x0m (“m” pour “module”, je suppose…).

quand je fais modprobe snd_intel8x0m, j’arrive à m’enregistrer avec arecord (ça grésille beaucoup mais clairement le micro fonctionne). Par contre ça ne fonctionne toujours pas avec d’autres appli (l’enregistreur de son de Gnome, par exemple), alors que ça marchait avec le LiveCD Ubuntu.

Je suppose que c’est parce que le module n’a pas été chargé au démarrage.

Chose étonnante, ce module est mentionné dans /etc/modprob.d/alsa-base, mais en tant qu’option semble-t-il :
options snd-intel8x0m index=-2

Comment on fait pour “activer” cette option ?

Les lignes “options” ne concernent les modules que quand on les insèrent. Ca precise juste les arguments à passer au module à ce moment là.
Si tu veux que ton snd_intel8x0m se charge au boot, rajoutes son nom dans /etc/modules.
Edit: le fait qu’il ne se charge pas tout seul vient peut être du fait que tes pciids ne sont pas à jour.
Avant de modifier quoi que ce soit, fais juste un update-pciids, et rebootes.
