Problème d'écran

Bonjour,

J’ai un pb depuis quelques temps mais j’aimerais bien pouvoir le résoudre.
Je suis passé de stable à testing il y a quelques mois. J’ai plusieurs kernel le 32 et 38. Quand je boot sur le 32 tout est ok mais sur le 38 mon écran s’éteint juste après avoir passé le grub. Je me suis donc dit que j’avais un pb avec ce noyau. J’ai récup le dernier sur kernel.org, et je l’ai compilé avec le .config de mon 32 qui fonctionne. Quand je boot dessus, avant d’arriver à gdm mon écran s’éteint comme s’il n’était plus alimenté.
Je branche un écran (précision c’est un portable) et je vois bien avec mon écran même une fois gdm lancé. Lorsque j’utilise le programme gnome pour gérer les écran je n’arrive pas à réactiver l’écran de mon portable. Et avec krandtray c’est encore plus bizarre, il me dit que lsvd1 et vga1 sont le même écran, à savoir celui que j’ai branché.
Je ne vois rien dans les logs.
Comment je peux reconfigurer xserver-xorg car dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg ne fait strictement rien.

Si quelqu’un a une idée. J’ai testé aussi avec kdm, et c’est le même résultat.

Je suppose que tu as bien fait make oldconfig et que tu ne t’es pas contenté de copier le .config puis de compiler

EE=erreur mais y’a rien concernant ton affichage.

C’est juste l’écran qui devient noir ou il se met hors tension?

Pour mon kernel j’ai juste fait un make, je ne savais pas qu’il fallait faire un oldconfig derrière

Concernant mon écran, il s’éteint comme s’il n’est plus alimenté.

Mais cela n’a rien donné.
Je pense à un pb dans le kernel mais j’avoue que c’est bizarre le coup que mon écran soit comme éteint dès que le serveur x démarre.

Je poste quand même mon dmesg avec un des kernel qui ne fonctionne pas (le 39) Je n’ai rien vu de spécial dedans. Peut être rajouter une option au noyau lors du démarrage ?

Je ne t’ai pas dis que ca fonctionnerais en recompilant ton kernel mais simplement que oldconfig permet de voir les différences entre les kernels.

Ok je reprends.
Quand j’utilise un kernel autre que le 32, il se charge mais à un moment mon écran s’éteint comme si je l’éteignait.
J’ai vu 2 cas. Le premier avec le kernel du dépôt, pendant le démarrage de la machine (après grub et le choix du kernel) ou mon écran s’éteint. Le second avec mon kernel compilé ou mon écran s’éteint lors du démarrage soit de gdm ou de kdm.

Les 2 dmesg c’est avec le kernel 32 et le 39.

Concernant les drivers, oui ils sont installés depuis longtemps (cg de base donc pas de souci).
Je ne pense pas à un pb de driver vu que cela fonctionne bien avec le 32. Je pensais plutôt à un pb dans les options du kernel, ou un pb avec xorg.
Avant je le reconfigurai avec dg-reconfigure xserver-xorg mais la commande ne me retourne rien !
Mon kernel en 32 fonctionne bien donc je peux rester dessus mais bon si un jour j’ai besoin de passer sur un plus récent, ça va être difficile.

Et le point que j’ai remarqué c’est qu’en branchant un écran sur mon port VGA, cela fonctionne, mais mon écran de portable n’est pas du tout reconnu que ce soit sous kde ou gnome.

Par contre avec i915.modeset=0 cela marche bien

Effectivement nomodeset tout seul n’a pas fonctionné mais i915.nomodeset=0 oui. J’ai pu booter correctement. Le seul hic c’est ma résolution qui a chutée et qui est passé à 1024.

Je vais voir pour me créer un xorg.conf et forcer la résolution.
