Reconfigure xserver-xorg a foiré

Bonsoir,
après quelques essais de résolution d’écran, j’ai perdu la poubelle: elle n’apparaît plus sur le bureau.
De plus, les icônes sont maintenant exagérément grandes.
J’ai cru bon de tenter :

En fait, sur le coup, j’avais beaucoup plus de possibilité de résolutions d’écran (trop, même par rapport à ce que j’avais choisi) mais au démarrage suivant, j’ai plus que 3 choix ( et 2 pour la fréquence), soit moins qu’avant la manip
Que faire? Essayer une autre fois ? Aurai-je oublié une manip pour sauvegarder la config?
Pour le clavier, j’ai choisi …105 : je n’ai plus la fonction Alt Gr :
Impossible d’écrire le [ , par exemple… :cry:
Mon clavier est un Logitech Cordless Keyboard MX700 (pack clavier + souris)

Et tu n’as pas sauvegardé ton fichier xorg.conf?
Regarde si le système ne l’as pas fait pour toi dans /etc/X11: tu devrais peut-être avoir un autre fichier xorg.conf avec un nom de date ou un truc comme ça…

Oui, j’ai les deux fichiers xorg.conf et xorg.conf20070911210443 ;y’en a un en trop?
Dans les 2, il y a assez de choix de résolutions d’écran, alors qu’en pratique, je n’ai que 640x480 , 800x600 et 1024x768

si c’est la bonne carte et la bonne config tu renommes le fichier xorg.conf20070911210443: en xorg.conf

et l’autre tu le renommes par exemple en xorg.conf200709pacool :laughing:

Bon, j’ai réussi, aprés quelques contorsions , à échanger les deux fichiers.
En fait, c’est “tout simple”, :unamused: : Il suffit de faire:

En tout cas, ça m’a changé les valeurs de xorg.conf et ça a pris le fichier le plus récent( j’avais, avant , ré-essayer de reconfigurer “normalement”)
Ces modifs ont été prise en compte après un redémarrage de X

Résultat: j’ai bien toutes les résolutions (même plus que désiré…) mais les icônes sont toujours trop grandes et la touche Alt Gr ne fonctionne toujours pas.
Mais je commence à comprendre le principe: il faut juste que je trouve les bons paramètres pour mon clavier…

dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg ne va pas copier le contenu d’un fichier xorg déjà existant, mais en créer un en demandant le minimum de question (normalement ça passe la priorité high à debconf, il me semble).

Bon, il va falloir que j’étudie ça…plus tard!
